Chris is a Programme Manager for the Terrorism and Conflict, and Cyber Security research programmes at the Royal United Services Institute. He previously worked as Project Officer for the National Security Studies programme under Dr Andrew Glazzard. Chris works on a diverse portfolio of work that includes global Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (P/CVE) trainings and the implementation of P/CVE programming in fragile and conflict-affected states including Afghanistan.
Prior to joining RUSI, Chris worked as a Project Assistant and Researcher on several special projects organised in conjunction with the British Association for Slavonic and East European Studies, with topics including Russian geopolitics in the post-Cold War era, extremism and radicalisation, the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, and the European migration crisis. Chris holds a BA (Honours) degree in Politics and International Studies from the University of Exeter, UK, and University College Utrecht, Netherlands. His interests include extremism and radicalisation, conflict resolution, media development, and Central Asian/MENA politics.
